Lincoln IL 7-12-19

On what was a hot day in central IL, Jeremy once again drew the back row of a heat race on a one groove race track and moved up 1 spot. Track was laying rubber the 3rd heat race and was laying rubber on the first lap of the feature. Needless to say there wasn’t hardly any passing going on. Jeremy Started 15th and ended up 13th. We move on to Jacksonville, IL on Friday July 26th and Macon, IL on July 27th. Check out the results page for full results

Rain Cancels Plans at Fairbury, IL

We were ready to go racing at Fairbury, IL on Saturday. Drew 24 pill, finished drivers meeting and was told we had a small cell coming through but we will race. Well, that small cell turned into a gully washer and had flooding in the pits and standing water on the racetrack. Another night Mother Nature takes the win. We will be back in action Friday July 12th at Lincoln, IL.

Weather Changes Plans

The original plan was to go race the MOWA/All Star race at jacksonville speedway, when Mother Nature had other plans cancelling the event around 3:45pm. As we were sitting outside in the parking lot, we got a wild idea to just head south to Granite City IL and take the wings off and go non wing racing. Since we didn’t have our non wing axle and tires needed for non wing it was definitely a challenging night. Jeremy of course drew dead last in the heat and finished 7th. Had to start 9th in the bmain and finished 5th, was in the transfer spot and hit the inside tractor tire going for the white flag and couldn’t hardly steer the car. All in all, was a fun night just getting out and racing. We might not have had the results we wanted but was definitely a fun night. Thank you to all our sponsors and fans that support us week in and week out and to our great crew Ron Standridge and Jim Rapps for all the help. We will prepare for this saturdays MOWA event at Fairbury Speedway.

IL/IOWA Weekend Recap

Its been a long time since Jeremy has visited Lee County Speedway. Matter of face it was 2012 since the last time Jeremy has raced there. Both tracks this past weekend were very slick and starting position made a huge difference. Jeremy had a stacked heat for friday night and basically started where he finished, struggling with a ill handling racecar. Jeremy Started 17th in the feature, and the 2nd lap the top wing ram came loose and Jeremy lost control of his wing cylinder, causing the wing to move forward and back without any control of it. Jeremy managed to move up a few spots and salvage a 14th place finish.

The next night at Spoon River Speedway Jeremy drew a 46 which put him in the back of another heat race. Once again was very hard to pass and almost follow the leader in the heat. Jeremy was able to move up one spot and finish fifth. He started 13th in the feature and managed to move up to 8th and struggled with the setup again just a bit. The team will regroup and prepare for the next race at the end of June at Jacksonville Speedway in Jacksonville, IL
